Apogee Software es muy conocido porque popularizo el modelo de distribución Shareware y por crear juegos como los Duke Nukem, los Commander Keen y Wolfenstein 3D.
Historia
Apogee empezo cuando Scott Miller saco a la venta el juego Kingdom of Kroz, el juego se vendio bastante bien y asi nacio Apogee. En 1991 George Broussard se unio a la compañia como c-fundador, trallendo con el algunos juegos que habia publicado antes con el nombre de Micro F/X. Con la intencion de crear una division para cada genero, asi apogee tomo los nombres de 3D Realms y Pinball Wizards.
