Descripción
Año 1929. Noruega. En un remoto fiordo, la joven Ruth vive sola en una granja tras la muerte de sus padres. Allí se dedica a cuidar a las vacas y a realizar deliciosos derivados lácteos que su amigo Erlend vende en el pueblo más cercano. Ruth empieza a tener dudas sobre su forma de vida solitaria y su futuro: ¿es aquello lo que quiere hacer para siempre?
Comienzan a suceder cosas extrañas, desaparecen varias de sus herramientas e incluso sus queridas vacas. Su mundo está patas arriba. Entonces, levanta la mirada y contempla atónita un extraño vehículo volador.
