Preinstalado

En el foro dispones de versiones preinstaladas donde sólo tendrás que descomprimir y ejecutar:

  • Basada en DOSBox SVN 0.74 y la versión CD.

DOSBox

  • Este CD tiene un pequeño inconveniente, y es la carpeta ESPA¥OL.PDI, donde se encuentra el archivo principal WESTERN. El símbolo raro es en realidad una Ñ pero por motivos de compatibilidad y equivalencias, según parece, corresponde poner ese.
El tema es que el juego usa un archivo bat (3SKULLS.BAT) para arrancar, cuyo contenido es este:
D:\ESPA¥OL.PDI\WESTERN
En Windows 98 no hay ningún problema y se interpreta correctamente como una Ñ.
Pero en DOSBox 0.74 no hay manera de que reconozca la ruta. La solución para hacerlo correr en DOSBox es copiar el archivo WESTERN a la carpeta de instalación y modificar el archivo bat para que quede así:
picture C:\3SKULLS\WESTERN
De esta manera podremos jugarlo en DOSBox normalmente. Supongo que este fallo sea del propio DOSBox y que en un DOS nativo funcionará bien. Este inconveniente ya está resuelto en las versiones de DOSBox 0.74 SVN.--cireja 18:34 22 sep 2013
