Descripción
El mundo de Death Gate está subdividido en 5 submundos: el Nexo, Tierra, Aire, Agua y Fuego, gracias a la acción de los Sartan, una raza/tribu de magos poderosa. Por alguna razón desconocida, los Sartan encerraron a los Patryn, otra de las razas, en el Laberinto del Nexo, un lugar donde la muerte acecha en cada esquina en forma de plantas y animales peligrosos y mortales. Lord Xar logra escapar de ahí y rescata a Haplo, el protagonista, a quien encomienda la misión de reunir los submundos en uno, y de vengarse de los ahora enemigos Sartan. (Fuente: Aventura y Cía.)

Curiosidades
- El diseñador principal, Glen Dahlgren, pone la voz de Sang-Drax.
- En la caja del juego venía una historia corta exclusiva ambientada en el universo de Death Gate, de Margaret Weis y Tracy Hickman, autores de The Death Gate Cycle, una serie de 7 novelas en la que está inspirado el juego.
Instalación
DOSBox
- Jugado sin finalizar por cireja en DOSBox:
- Montar la imagen del CD modificando el dosbox.conf así:
[autoexec] mount c D:\DosGames imgmount d "...\DEATH_GATE.iso" -t iso c:
- Entrar en el CD tecleando D: e instalar tecleando Install. Elegir la resolución más alta, instalación óptima y C como destino. Elegir SoundBlaster en sonido. Salimos del DOSBox.
- Luego modificamos de nuevo el dosbox.conf para que arranque el juego por sí solo:
[autoexec] mount c D:\DosGames imgmount d "...\DEATH_GATE.iso" -t iso c: cd DGATE LEGEND
